Why Choose Barbados?
Indian passport holders do not require a visa for Barbados.
You can fill out the immigration form online before arrival.
At Barbados immigration, they asked for the duration of stay and accommodation details but do not require proof of a return ticket.
They asked for a previously issued visa or I-797A copy. Since my passport was brand new and had no previous visas, I provided my I-797A copy instead.
Visa Stamping Timeline
Interview Date: February 25th, 2025
Status updated to approved within a few hours on the same day.
Visa Issued Date: February 26th, 2025
Status changed from approved to issued.
Passport Pickup: February 27th, 2025
Received an email stating that the passport was dispatched to DHL.
A few hours later, DHL tracking showed "Waiting for Consignee".
Called DHL, and they confirmed it was ready for pickup.
Picked up the passport without waiting for an additional pickup email from DHL.
Interview Questions
For H1B / Primary Applicant:
Is this a renewal or first-time H1B stamping?
Was your previous H1B visa issued at this [XXXX] location?
What is your job / What do you do?
Who is your employer?
Documents requested:
Either pay stubs or employer verification letter (only one was required, not both).
For H4 Applicant:
No questions were asked.
