Protecting your self from Identity Theft (SSN) in USA

 If your identity is theft in USA, majorly because of Social Security Number (SSN) follow below steps to protect your self.

1) Set alerts on all three major credit reporting bureaus

Experian, Transunion and Equifax

2) Freeze credit on all three credit reporting bureaus

Experian, Transunion and Equifax

3) Sign up on id.me

4) Create an account on "www.ssa.gov" with your sensitive information.

5) Create E-verify account and lock your SSN, which means employers using e-verify would't be able to pull up employment authorization/eligibility information unless you unlock SSN. This is to prevent employment fraud.

6) Set a pin on IRS so, no one can else can file taxes on you.
